However there are some additional stipulations that come along with the 10 day trial: All trial accounts are restricted to Tier 1 content and Capital City game zones. • Trial accounts may receive mail and purchase from the auction house; however, they cannot send mail or create auctions. Trial accounts are limited to designated servers. If you'd like to play with friends on other servers, you will need to purchase a retail copy of the game and transfer your character to their server (or create a new character on their server). All characters Rank 11 and under on purchased accounts have access to unlimited transfers, with a max of one transfer per day. The free trial will last 10 days from the moment you create your free trial account. Also, the countdown will continue whether you're logged in or not.

Final Fantasy XI Online, is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) developed and published by Square Enix as part of the Final Fantasy series. It has been over five years since it launched all over the world. SE noted that it still has a strong user base of around 500,000 subscribers. Four expansions for the game have been released, capitalizing on the game's success. But Square Enix Boss Yoichi re-affirmed that while Final Fantasy XI was still quite profitable for the company, it couldn't last forever, during an address to investor last month.
BEIJING, March 5 -- Howell International Trade Fair Ltd., the Organizer of the 2nd China game Developers Conference, recently announced the program and topics covered for this year's event. During the 3-day conference, 47 general sessions will be held. The decision was made after experts of the Advisory Board carefully reviewed the questions collected from game companies from home and abroad. CGDC aims to promote technology exchange and cooperation in the game industry both on the national and international levels, with an objective of building a platform for developers to exchange experience, share the latest technology and discuss future trend. CGDC Organizing Committee notes that through the first conference, CGDC answered their most urgent questions and demands. This group, of course, is best represented by those who are working everyday on developing games. Therefore, to improve the standing and relevancy of the Advisory Board, this year's conference expanded the advisory board at the very beginning of the preparation by including renowned game designers from world's major game companies. From last October, CGDC started collecting questions, in various ways, from developers in both domestic and foreign game companies and received over 500 professional and typical ones within one month. Korean company Hangame has released new tribes, classes and monster for the epic MMO Tera in its official site. Formerly known as the game Project S1, Tera is a new MMORPG from Bluehole studio and published by Hangame in Korea. Hangame has announced that Tera will enter CBT or closed beta phase in the summer of 2009. English players who want to try Tera may need to wait until 2010.
